Construction and Rehabilitation of Kindergarten Facility at Kabul University

The Construction and Rehabilitation of Kindergarten Facility at Kabul University project, implemented under Project Reference No. LPO/AF/KAB/04/097, was carried out at Kabul University in Kabul with the support of UNHCR. The project was designed as an education and infrastructure intervention aimed at improving facilities for young children and providing a safer, more functional, and appropriate environment for early childhood activities. Under the project, approximately 650 m² of kindergarten facility space was constructed and rehabilitated, benefiting approximately 350 children. The intervention aimed to improve the physical condition and functionality of the facility while creating an appropriate environment to support the care, development, and educational activities of children. Project activities included construction and rehabilitation works required to improve the kindergarten building and its associated spaces. The implementation focused on restoring and enhancing the facility to provide suitable spaces for children and improve the overall usability and serviceability of the educational infrastructure. The project was implemented from 24 June 2004 to 14 August 2004, with a reported project value of 29,073. Through the construction and rehabilitation of approximately 650 m² of facility space, the intervention contributed to improving access to appropriate early childhood facilities and creating better conditions for approximately 350 children at Kabul University. Overall, the project represented an important education infrastructure initiative that combined construction and rehabilitation activities with a focus on improving facilities for children. The completed works strengthened the physical infrastructure available for early childhood services at Kabul University under UNHCR Project Reference No. LPO/AF/KAB/04/097.
